welcome to PHP!

PHP is fast becoming one of the most popular scripting languages in web design. I have been developing with it for a little over 12 months now and have found it totally fascinating.

the PHP catalogue

For some projects I use PHP purely to create includes and set a few variables such as dates or anything that is repeated in multiple pages. Other projects combine PHP with a MySQL database to create a dynamic site, usually with a full Content Management System [CMS] which allows site owners to update their sites instead of being totally reliant upon me - and leaves me more time to design new sites!

As my use of PHP has grown, so has my need for 'nifty little scripts' and that is what I am planning to add here. I already have one or two in my 'nifty script' folder including a very sweet PHP Browser Sniffer which I use to determine which style sheet to load depending on the browser being used - but whatever you need a browser sniffer for, if you are using PHP, I think you will find this script very useful.
